Team Leader (Warehouse)

Location: West Bromwich, B70
Job Type: Temp-Perm
Salary: £14.42 rotating shifts for mornings and afternoons, £17.30 for night shift
Hours: 0600-1400 and 1400-2200( rotating) and 22:00-06:00 (fixed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve daily targets and maintain high performance standards.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and effective workflows.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, promoting a safe working environment.
• Monitor and manage staff attendance, performance, and development.
• Provide guidance and training to new and existing team members.
• Assist in stock management, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle any issues or challenges that arise within the team or during operations.
• Report any operational concerns to senior management and provide feedback on team performance.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team-leading role.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• A proactive approach to tasks and the ability to work under pressure.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and efficiency.
• Health and safety awareness and the ability to enforce safety protocols.
